With FiTOUR® Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga Combination I complete, the body is warmed up and ready for Combination II. This combination is a step up from Yoga Combo I. If a client is not ready for Yoga Combo II continue practicing Combo I until it is safe to incorporate the next positions. Combination II is also used as a transitional combination for the Yoga combinations that follow (III-IV).
Combination I included the following positions and sequencing:
- Mountain Pose
- Standing Back Bend
- Forward Fold
- Back Extension Chest Lift
- Wrist Stretch
- Child’s Pose
- Cat/Cow Stretch
- Downward Facing Dog
- Back Extension Chest Lift
- Forward Fold
- Mountain Pose
A safe practice would be to complete Yoga Combo I entirely and then move on and include the four new positions of Yoga Combination II. The sequence should flow smoothly:
- Mountain Pose
- Standing Back Bend
- Forward Fold
- Back Extension Chest Lift
- Plank
- Hover
- Cobra
- Upward Facing Dog
- Downward Facing Dog
- Back Extension Chest Lift
- Forward Fold
- Mountain Pose
Practice the Yoga Combination I and II together or simply incorporate them into your client’s session to cool down and stretch. Often a Yoga cool down is a perfect introduction to the practice and nurtures a client’s confidence to try the format in a class setting. Encourage your clients to try it this week!
