Brand Ambassadors are hugely important to FiTOUR! Our goal is to make a local impact by encouraging lovers of fitness to become teachers of fitness. We want to help our instructors stay in the fitness industry and make extra money doing it. We acknowledge fitness instruction is not the highest paid profession – but the impact a fitness instructor has on a classroom is profound. The influence you have to inspire and motivate your class participants, clients, friends, and family is significant.
Our new Ambassadors are ready to get to work. You may wonder if being a FiTOUR brand ambassador is a good fit for you. But, what makes a great Brand Ambassador for FiTOUR? Let’s look at the Top 10 Ways to be a Great FiTOUR Ambassador:
1. Humanize and represent the company positively.
Brand Ambassadors are the people who use FiTOUR Certifications. Share with the world what you use your certification to do, how it has influenced your life, and why you love it. Ambassadors humanize a company, and that is exactly what we want you to do.
2. Word of mouth advertising is more powerful than any other.
Talk to your classes, clients, and friends. Share what certifications you have, how you use them, and which ones you want to get next. Always keep growing professionally and encourage others to do so with FiTOUR Certifications. Also, keep in mind that Blog’s are in the top 5 trusted sources of information – if you have one, awesome! Write about FiTOUR and share those posts with us.
3.Natural, inspiring leadership ability with strong organizational skills.
Creating an additional source of income sounds great, right? Reach for your monthly sales goals and succeed. In order to do that, you need to be organized and efficient. You need to be a leader as an instructor/trainer and go for what you want. Be proud of your work, share how you love it, and how it helps people.
4. Be consistently motivating.
Leading people to follow their passion in fitness is a start. Keeping them motivated to complete their purchases, study material, and get certified is critical in our goal. Of course, sales are the first step – but once you have made a sale, keep the new customer engaged and motivated to succeed.
5. Intrinsically motivated and driven to succeed.
Are you powered by your own internal force? Does a personal goal, challenge, or accomplishment push you to succeed? Intrinsic motivation is important, and often fitness instructors/trainers have that internal drive. It is what allows us to love the process of fitness, not just the results. It is what our class participants and clients admire in us. We become their extrinsic motivation. To be successful as an ambassador, intrinsic motivation will serve you better than FiTOUR’s (extrinsic) incentives or goals. We will support you, but if you believe in yourself, this project, and helping people – if simply doing that work makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside, you will win.
6. Understand FiTOUR Programs and website.
There is a lot to know about our programs and website. We offer Certifications, CECs, Renewals, Practitioner and Master Practitioner Levels, online study material, and support. Do you have a solid understanding of how to navigate the website and your personal url? If not, hop on one of the training webinars so you completely understand the business you are representing. If you have questions, ask. We want you to be aware of the ins and outs so you can communicate well with your new and potential customers.
7. Improve the FiTOUR reputation.
Because we are not like the “other” certifying companies, because we aren’t expensive, and we don’t require monitored tests, our reputation sometimes takes some abuse. As a FiTOUR customer, you understand, we provide high quality education at an affordable price for a reason. Show people with your actions, social media posts, or blogs why you LOVE FiTOUR and how it is part of your life!
8. Develop a relationship with FiTOUR and other Brand Ambassadors.
This business is about relationships. People want to work with other people that they know and trust. Developing new relationships within the industry helps you be the best at your profession. We encourage you to interact with the FiTOUR Team and the Ambassador Team.
9. Be professional.
Of course we all have personal lives. Social media is an excellent outlet for sharing our personal lives. Creating and maintaining a professional social media presence is different than what you do in your free time. If you have one social media account for all things – be selective and professional in your posts. If you have one account for work and one for personal life happenings be sure to promote your professional account on your personal accounts occasionally to encourage new followers.
10. Be consistent.
Building a side income takes consistent effort. Talk to the people you see in classes. Meet new people at fitness events and promote FiTOUR. Use your daily posts to encourage people to follow their own passion for fitness! Set goals and SMASH THEM.
